Ranni Perunad Grama Panchayat – Summary of Expenditure Details for 2024–25

Based on the available expenditure statement, it is evident that during the financial year 2024–25, the Grama Panchayat prioritized sectors such as healthcare, housing, social welfare, child welfare, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe development, and Sabarimala pilgrimage facilities.

Health Sector

  • A significant amount was spent on Palliative Care programmes.
  • Projects were implemented to improve diagnostic and treatment facilities in healthcare institutions.
  • Separate allocations were made for Health and Wellness activities.
  • Funds were utilized for the purchase of medicines and operational expenses of the Ayurveda Hospital.

LIFE Housing Scheme

  • One of the largest shares of the budget was allocated to the LIFE Housing Scheme.

  • Development of essential infrastructure and amenities for pilgrims.

General Development Activities

  • Administrative improvements, including office modernization, UPS facilities, and ISO certification initiatives.
  • Allocations were made for age-friendly projects and the development of facilities for senior citizens.
